Nearly five years later

I’m hanging up my quill as Editor of Kitesurf Magazine. I don’t know the exact number, I think I’ve handled about 31-32 issues of KS, plus a load of PK and 5 issues of SUP Magazine.

It’s been a great lifestyle, there’s all the water time and last minute freedom you’d ever need and of course I’ve made a load of great friends and contacts but for the last 12 months I’ve been dreaming of a different sort of role in the kitesurfing industry. I knew exactly the sort of thing I wanted to do, but openings in the industry with the right people very seldom come up.

So it was with astonishment that I read of a position going on a forum of a brand that I knew looking for a European sales manager role. There’s gonna be a proper announcement on Monday so I’ll leave any more info till then, but I was delighted to have won the job.

I think this will give me a bit more time to focus on the bloggins too, which will be a treat, and also to spread a few articles out to other publications around the world because writing and creating features is a lot of fun.

Anyway, I hope you continue to read the bloggins, I expect it’ll remain fairly constant over here. Cheers!

It sounds like you’re no longer involved with SUP magazine but do you know if there are any plans for any more editions of SUP magazine?

I wanted to send in a short article about standup paddle surfing in Kenya but appears the mag is no longer being published…

It’s a real shame as I was very impressed by the content and production values of the edition I saw (Summer 2011).

    Cheers,

  2. Hi Craig,

Than thanks for the comment and good to hear you enjoyed the 2011 SUP Magazine. As I type, I am actually on deadline for SUP Magazine once more – we are doing two issues this year! Please send anything you have over to dom@supmag.eu right away and we’ll take it from there!

    All the best,

    Dom
